I've been to Reading a couple of times. The first time was in '99, I was 18 and was my first experience of camping ever, my mum was probably worried sick - the last festival I went to I came home with my nose pierced, and hardly anyone had mobiles so she couldn't contact me Had a fab time but hated the campsite, lots of camp fires and drunken idiots, all the portaloos were pushed over on the last night too Have been for a day since, my brother used to live in Reading which was very handy. Would love to go again but wouldn't camp. My sister-in-law lives near the Leeds festival site, so maybe we'll get to that one someday.

Ha I am a bit late reporting on this one but I think you know from Facebook Sarah that my YS went to Leeds. I got rung at 11.30pm on Sunday night to say that they were fine but that his friend had had his wallet stolen and could I put a bit more money on his card so that he could buy him another bus and train ticket in the morning So I logged onto his account for him and transferred a little bit of cash - never too much just in case

He arrives home Monday afternoon with a friend's dad in a car!!! It seems that another friend, going for an earlier train than my son, somehow picked up his wallet as well so that there were then two boys at Leeds in the mud and neither had any money or access to money. Didn't want to worry me and luckily bumped into another friend who was being picked up by his dad and who duly brought them back.

 

Will they ever be safe to release permanently into the world on their own??

After seeing Lostprophets, AFI and Gallows i couldn't sit up the next day, it was fully worth it
