Alis girls
Dear old mother nature has decreed that everything is ready at once. No its me being hopelessly disorganised and recylcing all my glass jars now need them to make jam. Just taken all greengages (I think) off tree on allotment - loads to be split by 3 of us. in danger of moulding if not dealt with soon. Also picked apples now starting to fall and rot esp wilst we were away despite telling friend to help herself. I think yrs ago without central heating everyone had outhouses to keep stuff in. I hope I'm not being too optimistic putting apples and spuds in shed. i love growing my own stuff but soemtimes it does get stressful when you have a glut of stuff even after giving loads away. Guest
Yes I was offered more plums from my neighbour to night but I had to reject as we are over run ourselves but they are delicious like sweets! I picked my cookers yesterday and after stewing 2 huge pans still have more to peel! Glut is so true..its all or nothing isnt it indie
Alis girls
Friend told me her 8 yr old son and mate picked all her cookers off tree and they are not ripe! They said they were helping, she now has a load of unripe Bramleys to deal with.
