I have had 6 ex batt girls over the past 3 years an none of them have gone broody. My Banties and my pure breed on the other hand go broody at a drop of a hat (or should that be egg ) Hybrid chickens (which exbatts are) are not supposed to go broody in theory Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

We were all set for a several week sit in but she got bored after 2 days and went and had a dust bath instead. She's the only one to do that from the 12 ex-batts I've adopted over the years.
