JanTheDiver
Hi I have just bought a dust bath (cat litter box) and realise that I don't really know what to put in it for the girls. Someone suggested sand, someone else said it must be sand and soil, but I don't know what is best so I thought I would turn to the eggsperts Thanks Jan
Sammy
Mine have childrens play sand, dried out top soil and cinders ash (from my neighbours BBQ). I also throw in a good dusting of Diatoms and occasionally will throw in some louse powder for a pleasant smelling dustbath.
Space Chick
Play sand, compost and diatom here

Hen Watch
In their dust bath I use ................. dust Well actually, just nice bone dry garden earth. And if it's not dry enough I steal it from hubbie's greenhouse (or let it dry out in there). Sometimes I mix in louse powder (but not always).
