However i dont have any chickens yet and therefore have no expeirence to share. I'm hoping to get some Ex-Batts from the little hen rescue http://littlehenrescue.co.uk/default.aspx some time soon and then will obviously posting a lot more pictures and stories and obviously joining in more with peoples experience. I guess I just wanted to say hi and I'm here and reading even if i dont currently comment much. Really excited and cant wait to get my ladies!!!!! The little hen rescue place I mentioned before rescue batch loads of batteryhens and then email you so you can make an appointment to collect them. So I guess it depends when they do the next rescue. We went to wickes's yesterday to get all our building materials to build an awesome hen house. So once that's built I'll upload a pic for you all. Still can't decide on names for my ladies tho. My eldest daughter and I discussed names for our 3 in the car earlier, at the moment they will be called Lavender, Daisy and Rose, unless H gets his way and they end up Nando, The Colonel and Mac. We're getting 5 chickens - 3 for me, one for my OH and one for my sister. and So far I've come up with 5 names!! My Sister said shes gunna call hers Desmond (???) All the rest is built and painted. Then we just need to build the WIR YAY!!!!!!!! I'll upload a picture of it tomorrow for you all to see. Ive now decided on Binah, Lola and Nonnie. Have you replied and asked about Peterborough collection, they are hopefully bringing my girls to Peterborough to collect so ought to be able to bring your girls too. Can't wait for them to arrive. I asked about the Peterborough collection and i asked them to bring some layers mash and some other stuff too and to let me know total cost and that. Am now goin to call them Tempie (Temperance - from program Bones) Cassie (Casserole) Dixie (as in The Dixie Chicks) My sister is calling hers 'Chicken' and my OH is callin his Clunkers One more week (and a bit) to go!!!!
