Cinnamon
I have been with BT Internet for a few years now with no problems (except that we can't get Broadband!) Then on Thursday last week I tried to dial up & got directed to a page telling me I was a Bradband customer, which I am not,& that I could no longer use dial-up. Well, I phoned BT right away & was shunted from one person in an overseas call centre to another, from department to department ,until it was finally ackowledged that it was a BT mistake. It took my 3 hours on the phone, most of it on hold,to get this information However, they don't seem to be able to fix it,or indeed take any notice of the fact that I am stuck with no internet connection I am so truly fed up with BT & their total incompetence that I have signed up with Tesco instead & cancelled my direct debit. Rant over

Cinnamon
To be honest I do feel a bit pathetic, complaing that I can't use the computer, but it is such a big part of family life now. My main moan was the BT call centre staff who were just passing me from person to person, with not one of them wanting to help me. At least when I phoned Tesco internet they were helpul & I could understand the accent

I emailed BT about my telephone line because I cannot have broadband as a low user (I am with AOL by the way). They don't seem to realise that I am on the computer all the time as a dial up customer, and none of their phone customers will ever get through to me Anyway, the reply was, I hope, from abroad as it was the most appalling piece of English ever written. I am still thinking of printing it off and sending it to the MD I hate overseas call centres
Chicken Licken
BT aaagh. I have been trying to sort out my broadband for the last 6 weeks. BT keep promisint to ring me back and never managa it and I have spent hours and hours on hold. The good news is that the broadband is now working and I am back online . The not so good news is that BT are adamant that it is not set up and should not be working - I am once again waiting for them to phone me back Safe in their capable hands!!! Lesley
My sister has just moved and has had the same problems with BT - her husband is a Barrister and has sent them a letter . She has just set up a new business and needed to be up and running a few weeks ago to make the most of the Christmas rush
