2009 Omlet cube and run for sale

Hi all,

 

I've been and brought a 4 day old chick today (the youngest i could find)

 

 

I just put the 4 day old in with the youngest and it kept jumping & pecking wobblers feet!

 

Is this normal?

Could you divide them with something so they can see each other until wobbler is a bit stronger? if not don't worry too much, my first ones out had a pop at the later ones but no one actually hurt anyone else

I'll see if i can find something to devide the brooder,i felt so sorry for the little un, when he cheeped when the 4 day old pecked him

When my 11 recent arrivals came out into the brooder, the first ones did pick a little bit on the last ones. This was more obvious when I put them in their little run. The one that got picked on the most was 'Batman' (long story) who is a tiny black bearded silkie. This lasted a couple of days on and off when I monitored it but since then they have all been getting on quite well and they seem to have taken well to Batman. They often let him/her huddle into the middle when settling down for some sleep

would it be worth just trying one of them with wobbler until he is stronger? that way he has a better chance of defending himself and will have a friend much quicker, pehaps a bit of moral support when you introduce the rest?
