Lake Superior Chicks Posted September 22, 2009 Share Posted September 22, 2009 I give my chickens pumpkin seeds (whole) and they LOVE them. They also get the meat from the pumpkin which they also adore. Pumpkin seeds are a natural dewormer and can be given at anytime as a treat. Here in the States this is a great time of year during Halloween because there are pumpkins galore. We even grew some this year. And, the seeds can also be frozen along with some meat for a great wintertime treat. Knock on wood, I've never had a worm problem yet.
