How regularly do I need to worm the girls. My dog I do every 3 months.

I was told every 3-4 months by the vet, but I know folk who only worm theirs once a year

 

I'm planing on doing my girls every 3 monthsm sounds a pretty good idea to me (and theres no egg withdrawal period with flubenvet - woot!! )

I've done mine twice so far this year plan to do the first week of october I'm hoping that will cover them for winter then I'll do them early march i think then about every 3 months

I have had my chooks nearly a year now and have never wormed them but would like to do so, could you let me know what I need to buy and where from, I have just looked in the Omlet shop and can't see anything in there for worming.

Most people on here use Flubenvet - I got mine from our vet, but you can buy it online.

3 -4 months is best with Flubenvet as a routine worming but more often if you know that you have an issue (which you shouldn't have if you worm routinely )

I give my chickens pumpkin seeds (whole) and they LOVE them. They also get the meat from the pumpkin which they also adore.

 

Pumpkin seeds are a natural dewormer and can be given at anytime as a treat. Here in the States this is a great time of year during Halloween because there are pumpkins galore. We even grew some this year. And, the seeds can also be frozen along with some meat for a great wintertime treat.

 

Knock on wood, I've never had a worm problem yet.
