Ok, I figured out the worming thing, ie how to get it in their food. Then discovered they shouldn't eat anything else. So kept them in the run this morning, and they got so stressed they wouldn't eat the food, just making lots of noise and pacing up and down the run, so I've let them out for now hoping they'll be more relaxed and actually eat some of the food!

 

Any ideas how to make this an effective worming treatment, but without completely stressing the chickens out?

If you shut them in they will always make you feel guilty, they are clever madams!

 

They should eat if you leave them to it, if they can see you they will kick up a fuss

 

As a compromise, leave them in during the morning to let them eat the medicated food and let them out later in the day for a few hours as they should have filled up in the morning, its not ideal to let them eat other things but if the bulk of their diet for the week is medicated you should be fine

Harden your heart and ignore them. They may well only create a fuss when they sense that you are around.

Mine wont eat a new brand of pellets that I have bought them but if I wet it they are happy to eat it
