Fur 'n' Feathers
Well, C-Day (chicken day) is nearing at a rate of knots and we are getting excited now . To have 4 chickens - We've decided to go for a Coral and a Maran Cuivre (rather than another Brown Nick). We changed our minds after visiting Woodcat's chickens and meeting her Maran Cuivre. They already have names planned - much easier than babies as we know they'll be girls . We aim to pick them up next Monday. Then the "fun" of intros begins. As we've got a 4 metre cube run we aim to put the newbies in the eglu for a week or so and then divide the cube run. Guess they can stay like that for a good while. Thought that by putting the glugs and grubs either side of the bamboo dividers it will bring them together to eat/drink, whilst avoiding the "contact sports"
