Outrageous working hours over Christmas

Recommended Posts

I hope your friend was safe, Clur  ?

Thankfully yes ANH. Very scary by all accounts and obviously difficult to get word out at the time

That must have been an anxious wait to find out. I'm glad it was a good outcome for you.

Ali-s I think thats terrible that you've not managed a holiday together for so long, surely the fact that its been 8 years would be enough to persuade the bosses to let you have time off together? You'd have to be very hard hearted not to allow at least one time?

I think I am used to not having a holiday together now. OH does try and take a day off of two when I am holidaying from work but we say at home. However I am on a weeks holiday next week and last night OH announced he was taking me away to Edinburgh for a couple of days. We are going to Ikea  to look at kitchens. I also want to find a Rayburn shop and a shop that sells Everhot cookers  So romantic

My daughter has to work on Boxing Day. She has a Saturday job and Boxing Day is a Saturday so apparently she has to work. Worse than that, she is not eligible for double time because the Bank Holiday has been transferred to Monday. I don't expect there will be any buses on either day so guess who is also going to have to get up!
