Worming ducks?

Recommended Posts

I have to hold my hands up to not having wormed my chooks or ducks until now...

I've now discovered the chooks have worms (well, one of them, at least), so they are on Flubenvet... but the instructions for Flubenvet says nothing about ducks... it covers chooks, geese and turkeys... but no mention of ducks.

Is it OK to use with them to? I assume ducks get worms just like chooks, and they they would need worming too?

Thanks!

I never wormed my ducks but probably would have if they lost condition, they use to free range all day.

I probably would too if they lived in more of an enclosed space with chickens etc. But I have wormed my chickens with flubenvet twice since getting them in May 09

indie :)

I was talking to the man on the Flubenvet stand at the Nationals and he told me that ducks need worming at the same time as the chickens

Interesting to know :)

Is it the same dosage as the chickens, do you know?

Will try and get all ours done before they're integrated in the WIR so at least I know who's eating what for the moment :)
