speckled hen
Hi everyone Just a quick question. Is it possible that Colin dying has caused the girls to stop laying eggs? They have only laid 2 since he died, we normally have 5 a day. It is all I can think of, they seem well and are eating and drinking normally. Patricia W
My instinct is yes, but then I'm sentimental. I suppose it is that time of year when they stop. I hope they soon get over it - whatever the cause Tricia
Lewis
It probably could do, due to stress. Maybe give them some extra protein and limestone flour and see if it helps. As Tricia sais, it could be because the winter is coming and days are getting shorter.
Space Chick
You can also put a few drops of bach rescue remedy in their water as this helps with upset too. Your poor girls
speckled hen
Oh I have some of that I will put some in the water. We have just changed the hemcore and cleaned up all the feathers that Colin had left behind. We thought nice fresh bedding would be good for them, I know I always like a nice freshly made bed!! One egg today
