Mrs CCR's "Midlife Crisis" involved buying herself a couple of racehorses

 

One of them, "Wenger" a French horse has it's first race of the season this Thurdsay (29.10.09) at Stratford races in the 2.50pm "River Avon Handicap Chase".

 

It does have a "bit of form", winning twice in it's last 4 races.

This time it's up against a Tony McCoy/Jonjo O'neil horse so it's probably only an each way bet.

Only racecourse I've been to apart from Wolvo is Stratford. Really enjoyed it.

 

Is it pronounced Wenger or Venger (as in "Ooops, word censored!"n)?

My late first husband had a third share in a three-legged steeplechaser( with his bookie and the landlord of our local ) some 15years ago. He didn't do much but it was great to dress up and swan around in the owners' and trainers' enclosure

That's because they'll not have formed the markets yet. Some bookies will have it online tonight but the majority will have it on their site in the morning. If you want to take a price instead of SP you'll have to wait until around 9am.

I didn't go, I had to work.

 

It's Mrs CCR's horse and she was there. I recorded the race on the Sky Racing Channel.

I thought it finished in Last place but Mrs CCR said "it was sixth" (out of six !!!).

 

Her other horse is called "The Gloves are Off" trained by Sue & Harvey Smith and not due to be racing until December 09. Hope that one performs a bit better.
