Chicken bald back

My cockeral has now started biting my husband and myself! He does a little side walk into us when we first let him out and then does a twisting bite! He acually drew blood from my husband today!

Anyone any ideas?

He is destined for the pot anyway so ts not really a problem

 

If you cant keep yours realistically your options are the pot or tryng to rehome him to a much larger flock

When he looks like doing it, pick him up and carry him around for a bit. That indicates you are the top cockerel. Whatever you do, don't be aggressive towards him because it will only make him determined to win and he'll become more aggressive.

 

A friend has an 18 week old Croad Langshan which is ENORMOUS!. ( imageine an Irish Wolfhound compared to a corgi!)

 

She is training him to associate her with treats and good things ( he'll eat out of her hand and is a real sweetie). She reckons he will get too big for her to control if he becomes aggressive. Seems to be working.

Many of us have just got rid.... There is somewhere in Wiltshire that takes unwanted chickens. I think Tom123 has the link. Hope that helps.
