Chunky_Monkey
Well, we had a surprise while getting dinner ready today. Mum was using the 110g egg we had a few days ago for an omelette. We expected it to be a double yolker, which it was, but also happened to be filled with blood! I know you can get blood spots in eggs occasionally, but has anyone had any eggs that was full of blood? We don't know who laid it but they all seem to be acting normally now.

Egluntyne
One of my girls laid one of these once. Not very pleasant to crack it into a bowl containing the ingredients for a cake. My mother was right....you should always crack your eggs into a cup first - just in case. No hen had seemed particularly ill or bothered at the time, and it never happened again. Jo_Hopgood
I heard at blood is a burst vessel and is harmless? Please correct me if I'm wrong as I'm a total newbie!!! We picked our ex-bats up last Saturday and on the Sunday we had four eggs, one of which was full of blood but we found that it cooked fine.
