Lozmk1
FINALLY after almost a week (it went last Thursday) with no hot water or heating all the parts have turned up for our boiler!!! so with a bit of luck the lovely gas man will be popping round when i get home from work to fix it so i can have a looooovely hot bath and im gonna leave the heating on all night to warm the house back up, it was so cold on saturday i was crying, i had leggings, jeans, a vest, tshirt and jumper on, big fluffy socks and ugg boots to try keep warm, i was running round cleaning the house, baking and leaving the oven door open to try to warm the kitchen up. I don't know how we survived before central heating, I was saying to my other half last night we didnt have central heating at home til i was about 10 years old and im sure winters were a lot colder back then? its such a shame it had to go the month before xmas though an expense we could have done without if im honest

Lozmk1
quite scary last night when he took out the old parts and they wer fire damaged!! thankfully boiler is outside and as a little plus (really, yes i know!!) the heater exchange union is weeping so it will have dampend it out before anything dreadful happened! but we will need a new boiler in the next couple of years unforutnatly as this ones had a hard life before we took the property on hecne the leak sad times but yes my hot bath was blissful but went cold too fast for my liking - i wasnt nearly as prune like as i wamted to be! haha.
