Well she has calmed down a bit but certainly isn't back to her old self and hasn't started laying again yet I have just wormed them all to see if this helps, but how long does the worming stuff take to work They finished their dose today, but I assume it takes a few days for the eggs/worms to die. C&T Posted November 11, 2009 Share Posted November 11, 2009 Not sure what wormer you used, but with Flubenvet, I noticed worms in their poo within 2 or 3 days into the 7 day course. I would have thought the first 4/5 days will kill off the worst of the worms, and the last couple of days are to ensure everything is sorted? But that is purely me guessing. I've just looked up Flubenvet and found it on the same site I use to buy flea stuff for the dog and cat, but I noticed that it says this: Bestpet can supply Flubenvet only if: the medicated feed is mixed at the house where the birds are kept and those birds and their eggs are not reared for sale or supply for consumption off the premises Does that mean for ever, as I often give my eggs to neighbours and sell them to a few people when I have an excess. But, I use Flubenvet, and if used correctly, there is no egg withdrawal period for consumption. I personally eat the eggs whilst being dosed, and others on here do to. Evidently you have to leave 7 clear days after the last days treatment before you eat a bird, and as for eggs theres no withdrawl time at all so maybe they were just being over cautious.
