Nicola H
There should be a use by date on them Helen have a check on the outside of the bag, I know the mash I buy usually has a 3 months date on it I have used it up for maybe another 4 weeks after the use by date but it hasn't gone mouldy. The Dogmother
They shouldn't be going mouldy Helen Are they somewhere slightly damp? You will need to throw the manky ones away or your girls might get poorly.
gooner.girl
Use by 21st December... Its literally only about 2 in every 100 at the moment that are slightly grey. They're in the conservatory as our garden is just mud at the moment and i don't want to struggle accross that to the garage anymore then i have to... I don't know if its damp in the conservatory, I don't think so... OH is getting really cross with the girls messing up the lawn. It is ALL mud now as an aside can anyone tell me does the lawn get better as the weather gets better!? I.e how likely am i to have grass in the summer, this year being our first winter keeping chickens i don't know!
