Solitary chicken - need advice

hi everyone, we're so excited we have our new cube but our new girls won't go to bed! it's day 7 and they are still nesting next to the wheels. i tried to put some meal worms in the cube - but they just climbed the ladder to the worms, ate them and then came back out! how can i get them to go to bed? they went to bed fine in the eglu....

Do you transfer them in to the cube and shut the door? If not I would try that for a few nights and they should cotton on

Perhaps they need a 'leg up' onto the ladder. I put an upturned plant pot at the base to give them a bit of a boost at first, and 'walked' them up the steps a couple of times. They got the idea soon enough.

I also had to put them to bed the first couple of nights until they realised it was their home!

They soon cotton on as egluntyne said. I have a small log at the bottom of the ladder too.
