BarbaraJ
when i make fairy cakes the though lovely inside the tops are quite sticky is it because they are made with stork marg and wouldn't be with butter. i can't see what else would cause this. Strange and not something i remember with my mums but she used some type of marg too doesn't make the slightest difference to the taste but would prefer a dry top. I'm making some big ones for my g.neices christening and would prefer them not to be sticky but don't want to waste butter if that wouldn't be the problem! kerryegg
No idea sorry. I use stork and haven't had any problems, perhaps worth trying a slightly hotter oven. Hope the next batch are o.k.
