Pro - Does anyone else's nest boxes get soaked in rain?

hi, my 3 blackrock hens have not started to ley yet,they are 27 plus weeks.will i really have to wait till spring to get some eegs?

As Black Rocks are hybrids they should lay in the winter. However with these darker days they will be later in starting laying. One of my hybrids was over 30 weeks old when she started laying, so don't worry

Mine didn't lay for ages when we got her, turned out she needed worming- laid straight after this- not sure if this was coincidence?!She may also be waiting for a bit of sunshine as the vitamin D helps the processing of the calcium to form the shell!where is the sunshine!!??They all take different amounts of time I think! good luck!

still no eggs but onion who has the biggest,red comb and wattle,has started to crouch when i go near her.

I bet my husband a mars bar,that well have an egg for christmas day!

Blodwyn (a Miss Pepperpot, so similar to Blackrock) laid her first egg about two weeks after starting to crouch, so you might be lucky.
