Ryan?.

Barry and Paul Chuckle - The Chuckle Brothers

Yes, I know I'm sad, I still watch the occasional childrens TV.

Paul & Barry Ryan - Two Of A KindSeeing double with the Ryan twins

Having previously racked up a string of successful hit singles on Decca, sharply dressed identical twins and one-time trainee hairdressers with Vidal Sassoon, Paul and Barry Ryan’s debut LP arrived in 1967. The brothers were backed by a posse of top London session men, with production duties handled by a roster of names including Les Reed, Mike Leander, Johnny Harris, Ivor Raymonde and Searchers drummer Chris Curtis. Two Of A Kind nods towards contemporary hit-makers in the form of covers of two Hollies originals (Fifi The Flea and Pay You Back With Interest), plus one apiece from The Yardbirds (I Can’t Make Your Way) and the Pretty Things (Progress).

Casting their nets beyond the UK in their search for suitable material, the siblings also deliver re-workings of Buddy Holly’s That’ll Be The Day and Sam & Dave’s You Don’t Know Like I Do. While every inch a vivid pop document of its time, Two Of A Kind is the prelude to the main attraction of the following year, when the twins called time on their double act and Barry launched his solo career on MGM. The self-explanatory debut collection Barry Ryan Sings Paul Ryan included his unforgettably epic second solo single Eloise.

Sam, you need to get some in.......
