each year at work we pick a charity to sponsor instead of sending our workmates cards, this year its guide dog puppies, they look very cute

I'll be sending cards to some people, mostly those who are not nearby. I don't do them for people I see frequently, instead I will be giving a donation again to The Smile Train which does cleft lip and palate repair for children in countries where this sort of birth defect often goes untreated.

I don't send to workmates either, I give my donation to the local hospice. However I do buy charity cards to send to the rellies that I don't see, its their only way of knowing I'm still alive!

I fostered a guide dog puppy for a year. It was an incredible experience. We taught her manners in the home and out and about, how to be sociable and not crazy. We had to take her out places like coffee shops and pubs ( her personal favourite). We loved her so much it was tough to hand her back, but she's been a guide dog for nearly 3 years now, so that is pleasing. As you may guess, her name is Patsy. I highly recommend puppy walking.
