A supply teacher came in today and he heard me talking about my hen house being inhabited by a hedge hog. He asked what type of chickens I had and he said that he kept some chickens too. I asked what type of hen house he had and he said that he had a blue plastic one called an eglu. Poor man! I let out such a scream. I did go on to explain why.

I love finding out that people have hens. I had a meeting last week, and didn't really "hit it off" with this girl who is going to assist on my project. That was, until we found out at the break that we both had chickens. Now we are getting along great, and its a fab and friendly way to start a conversation asking about each others chickens
