chickencam
We keep our cats in at night, but this evening we were heading out to Waitrose and Ziggy shot out through the front door. We were out for just over an hour and when we came back she was sitting in the lounge all hunched up and breathing oddly. My first thought was a car, because we live on the junction of 2 busy roads, but we took her to the vets and she said that she looked lie she had been in a fight because she has a scratch just above one eye and her tail is drooping and looks like it has been pulled or bitten. The vet was a lovely Irish lady who we saw when our previous elderly cat had a fit and OH took quite a shine too, gave her some anitiotics and an anti-inflamatory injection and she semed much better and has been enjoying TLC all evening. Also had a long chat with vet about chickens, we gave her loads of avvice about pet carers etc and she was going off to work on her husband. Seagazer
Oh poor thing. They do worry us don't they, these pets of ours. She'll soon perk up with the antibiotics though.

chickencam
She has been really quiet all day and reluctant to eat, she did eat a few Iams ot of ED'd hand when she came back from a sleepover ( she is very much her cat). I am hoping that she is just sleeping it off, but she may be back at the vets tomorrow.

chickencam
She was eating yesterday and has had her breakfast this morning. She is much better in herself, but her tail still doesn't work She has such an expressive tail normally, it is always wagging, she disapproves of a lot , but she always greets you with a raised tail when you say hello to her, but it is just drooping, she can raise it a bit more today but when she walks it drags along the floor. Thanksyou for your kind thoughts, I think she is well on the road to recovery.
