Chicken bald back

Hi, I saw a fox in my garden this morning. I knew they were around, but haven't seen any for a couple of years. He was in my garden then the neighbours for ages. I even took photos. I think he's had a go at getting into the cat run (where I have 2 chickens), but its on a concrete slab so no chance. Couldn't see any evidence of him trying the chicken coop although it looks a bit muddy. He obviously knows I have chickens now!

 

I realised he was eating something so I went to have a look..... and found..... 2 apples. lol. Bless him. I hope he keeps to the fruit and veg.

 

Bit worried about my cats being out too! Prob going to keep the chooks in their pens today. Just in case he's hiding round the corner. I always stand near them when they are out anyway. Still a bit scary.

That was scarey. Like you say he knows you have chickens now. They are beautiful but what are you going to do to keep him away? You'll have to stay close

Perhaps he is a vegetarian!

 

Best to be vigilant now that he is sniffing around.

I let all the chooks out today and followed them around. I felt like part of the flock. I'll start clucking next. . It was the first sunny day for ages.

 

I was out at 1am checking they were okay last night! All fine.
