Lap top advice

Recommended Posts

I bought one recently and took a lot of advice, I liked the Dells too but in my price range I chose a Toshiba with Dual Core as I was advised it was better to have Dual Core if possible. I have to say it is a minefield out there though, I was really lost with it all, but got a very nice laptop with a lot of memory and hardrive so I was happy with my choice. (it isn't a nice bright colour though  )

I was looking for one this time last year and ended up getting a HP one from Dabs.com.

I think the best way is to decide what spec you want (not easy I know with all the different options around) then spend hours searching the internet for the best price  . I have to say that HP customer service was brilliant when I had a corrupted hard drive. Dabs were also very good with price and delivery.

Good luck

If you want a Dell then have a look at this site:

http://www.dmxdimension.com/

They neatly summarise any special offers, and codes you can use. The actual Dell site doesn't always make it clear which offers are available without some searching.

I recently bought a Studio laptop, and got around £300 off the list price, and also used the 5% off code as advertised on the above site, and it worked a treat.

It depends what spec you need, of course, as to what to look at.
