bizzylizzy
hi everyone. i am new to the forum but have kept chickens for a couple of years. i have had an eglu and at the moment have got an orange cube. i love my cube but cleaning it out is a bit of a mission, so was thinking about building a walk in run. does anyone know if omlet are thinking about making one? if they were i would rather wait for theirs because if it is like their other stuff i would be ACE!!! Shelley
I've been thinking exactly the same - they'd be mad not to
Ain't Nobody Here
Welcome to the forum, bizzylizzy . I shouldn't think Omlet would ever make a walk in run, to be honest. Have you looked at this thread for inspiration? There are various ways of building a WIR but Aviaries4u are very popular with Omleteers (I have one, you'll see it in my signature ). atsw
I got myself a WIR earlier this year and have never looked back. Like ANH above, mine also came in kit form from Aviaries4u. With the help of the family (OH plus 3 kids) I put it together over a weekend. I made a short slideshow of the whole operation, from ground work to finished product, which you can view ** here **. My chooks absolutely love it, and I can rest happy that they are safe inside, but have loads of room to scratch about and roam around doing their 'chicken thing' all day. Lewis
Hi I'm in Sutton so not far from you at all. I've just ordered a WIR from West Hagley Aviaries and they deliver too, they're cheaper than Aviaries4U, but hopefully will be nearly as good Will post some photos when its all being built. docsquid
BizzyLizzy - I wonder if TWO people from Tamworth ordered a WIR from Tony, he would consider a trip to build them? I am thinking of this in the Spring too, although still have to persuade DH that it is a good idea. I would keep the cube run to divide the WIR if we have to do any intros.
