..lay a little egg for me
OH received a shiny new phone for Xmas (from me!) and has taken some pics he wants to upload to his laptop. There is no USB cable with the phone but both devices have bluetooth. We have tried and tried to get the laptop to receive the pics from the phone, which tries to send them but says it has failed (no other info is given). I can see the phone from the laptop and even navigate through the phone's files to the "my photos" folder, but no photos are seen in the folder when viewed from the laptop. Any computer/phone whizz kids out there willing to give me any tips?
debbier
What sort of phone is it, and how are you trying to transfer them to the laptop?
Cinnamon
If its an HTC Magic, then it has Bluetooth, but not Bluetooth file transfer, which is hugely annoying. Might be the same for the Hero too
Lewis
Does the phone have a memory card? You might be going through the phones files and not the memory card if they are saved on that?
Geoid
It could be because of a number of reasons...Could I have the make/model of the phone please.
..lay a little egg for me
Thanks for your replies. We had to go into settings and change all kinds of stuff to do with image transfer. If anyone knows of a shortcut though, it would be helpful. Well we finally managed it, but not quite sure how!! The phone is a Samsung Genio Touch and it does have bluetooth file transfer. The laptop is a Toshiba and seems to have a really cumbersome way of transferring files. The pics were stored on the phone not on the SIM or any microSD. Geoid
I think it has a mini USB connector, if you have one of these wires, try hooking your phone up with it. The wire looks a bit like this.
