Luvachicken
Having been without OH for over a week now - he has been stuck in Portsmouth - I thought I'd look up some anti peck stuff but was surprised how much choice there is. I read some reviews but I don't know which to go for, any ideas ? Friends of ours ordered some French stuff in an aerosol that absolutely stank of burnt yuck x 100000 eurgh but I don't why they got it from France when there are products over here. Plus the instructions were only in French
Redwing
The stuff you were offered is Ukadex, its the best anti peck spray on the market I would snap their hans off for it! No instructions needed - spray on and watch it work Might want to use it naked or wearing old clothes though and wear gloves!
emchook
Thats an interesting thought spraying them naked in this weather ! Or indeed any time of year come to think of it
Saronne
Does Ukadex smell like coal tar shampoo? That's what the Net Tex Anti-Peck Spray stuff smells like. It's not unpleasant IMHO, but it is strong smelling. Incidentally, it hasn't stopped the chooks from plucking - the bumper bits have, though. Redwing
I remember someone likening the smell of Ukadex to smelling: 'vomit mixed with the contents of a thousand ashtrays' (or something similar) and I'll tell you what - they were spot on If you are unlucky enough to get some on your skin it lingers for days and days BUT it is fab stuff
Luvachicken
Cool , maybe that is the stuff to go for, i think your description was fab As it smells so bad does it have any effect on ponds and fish ?
