abwsco
They're lovely, shame you have to give them up Are the siblings Copper Maran x Welsummer too? I know although I'm going to cover up the Go tonight and see if that helps with the noise. The siblings should be Wels but I've only ever seen 1 picture of a Wels that looks like them. My friend who gave me the eggs has had some that have the colouring of Wels you always see and some that look like mine. So we're confused. This was when they hatched I must try and get a better picture of them as their markings are pretty.
tom123
They look like wels x maran. Defiantly not pure Welsummer... Lovely though, do you have any more pics of the girls!
abwsco
This is one of them but it's from a bit ago. I'm going to try and get some more this weekend.
tom123
They look more like a CBM than a Welsummer, but defiantly a cross. Very pretty though and should lay lovely chocolate eggs

meezers
Sunday and Dinner are lovely looking boys. Hope you can rehome them rather than eat them.
abwsco
Sadly, the boys are being despatched on Thursday as we haven't been able to find them a home As neither DH or I have ever done the "deed" before a friend is doing it so that we know it will be done as quickly as possible. tom123
So sorry, wish I was nearer!
Griffin
Sorry to hear that. It's so incredibly hard to find a home for boys, I've only ever managed to get homes for two. I've now made the decision to cull any boys not destined for the table as soon as I know they're boys because it's so much harder once they're older, with lovely personalities, I can't put myself and the kids through that anymore. Barkisland
What a shame. They are such handsome boys. The reason I don't hatch is because I know there would be boys to get rid of.
abwsco
My friend has now got CLB cockerels to put with her CLB's so any hatched would be auto sexing. Mind you I think culling chicks would be worse. Think we'll get a broody cage just in case. Fiona, is Mary still broody 99% of the time? madchickenlady
This is the reason I haven't hatched yet. Every so often I come so close to buying an inccy, and then I remember where i live
