Mrs Webmuppet
Well done. I'm too much of a wimp to do any exams.
Chicky
Hey, I have taken 3 flute exams so far and have often made silly mistakes!! I passed still and I think that if you really don't know your music that is when you fail. I wouldn't worry you tryed your best!!
PurpleTree
Congrats! I did grades 1 & 2 and started working towards grade 3, but then I gave up. One reason was that I was doing my GCSE's and other reason was I really hated the exams. I just wanted to learn to play the pieces, but my piano teacher insisted. I've still got the piano though, and I do try and play it now and again. Do you still have to sing in the exam? I used to hate that bit. Hen Watch
Congratulations from me too. Very brave doing the exam. I first started learning aged 38 and now 3 years later, I'm still struggling over grade 1 & 2 pieces. I can get through them but only after months of tuition and practice. However, my 3 children (who've only been playing 1 or 2 years) have all overtaken me now. And eldest daughter just sailed through grade 2 last week. I am so that my kids just soak up all the technical stuff like sponges. Wish I'd done this as a child, but that said am still having fun learning at my own rate. I don't do scales etc, so I could never take any exams. So well done you
