Went upstairs to check on my quail chicks (4 weeks and 4 days) at 3pm and found one dead in the sawdust

 

I don't know what caused it as I had checked on them a couple of hours previously and they were all fine. I checked her all over and she wasn't bleeding or anything like that.

 

I also now have one who has a severe limp - at the moment it is moving around by lying on it's side and propelling itself around with it's good leg. Shall I leave it in with the others? They don't seem to be picking on it at all.

I had the same thing happen with the smallest chick

 

I'd probably leave the limping one in with the others, but keep a close eye on it
