chuckmum6 Posted January 30, 2010 Share Posted January 30, 2010 At last Hen Solo has laid, she has been squatting for a week or so and has been nosing in the nest box - this morning there was a little green/blue egg . I had to wait until after my Crested Legbar, Tikka had laid to be totally sure it was her, as Tikka lays large green eggs and Hen's egg is more green than blue. Anyway I am a happy chuck mum now! Do you think her eggs will become more blue? The pressure is on for Dotty my Wyandotte and the Pekins Princess Layer and Jen. The latter of which is my oldest hen at 9 months, has never laid an egg yet and shows no sign of doing so ....grrrr....at least the other two have been popping in and out of the nest box lately.
