Eggasperated
I bought my hen house from here: http://www.solwayrecycling.co.uk/products/hen-houses.asp although mine has the nest box inside rather than on the door. Has anyone else got one of these as I've had to make a few modifications to make it work for me and would be interested to know how other people are getting on with it. Lewis
These have been posted a few times, but I don't think anyone has one. How are you getting on with it?
Eggasperated
Not having used anything else I've got nothing to compare it to, but I did think it let in a lot of draughts where the wire met the house, so the manufacturers sent some extra pieces which held the structure a bit more rigid. They also supplied an extra piece to put across the pop hole door as my hens were kicking out a lot of wood shaving material but this may just have been them. Like all "moveable" houses it is quite an effort to move but two people can manage reasonable well. Also its quite difficult to dry when washed due to the nature of some of the surfaces inside but again I've got nothing to compare it to. Overall its fine and the hens seem to like it but it would still be nice to know if anyone else has got one.
Plum
First time I've seen anyone on the forum with one. The Omlet houses have a lot of ventilation built in as well, I guess the chickens need it to stay healthy and prevent condensation.
