ES is looking after a mums I know girls for 3 days. First night no probs girls were sheltering in their Eglu as it bucketed it down. This am no probs (mum goes too to supervise you understand) Tonight well - got there fully expecting the three girls to be in Eglu - well they were till security light came on and then WAHAY - "Its daytime again" and out they shot. Couple of scoops of corn later and I managed to prize the 2 eggs not there this am off of one of them and they were safely in bed. So off we go and guess what we couldnt get out the side door. it does stick my friend said and she was right. So there we were - stuck in the garden and no torch. fences too high for climbing over into neihbouring garden even if i could. So called OH and he said wait a mo and try again. 3 squirts of WD40 and a kick from my 14 yr old and we were out....

so if you want a chicken sitter - probably better not call us .... by the way still gonna get my own girls - they are so funny.

Yup I was determined to get my eggs. My friend is worried they will go broody and this one had till Big Ali turned up. Very guilable chucks - hand full of corn and they are anybodies

Alas not otherwise i would send to Harry Hill and pocket £250. They are soooo funny. I was telling another friend who keeps hens and she said they obviously thought it was daylight. We have short nights in NW London.
