Tombull10
I have until recently had my 3 ex bats in my omlet eglu. Last week poor felicity had to be put to sleep so now I'm down to 2 hens. My other half (who a year ago was unconvinced about keeping just 3 hens in our urban garden) has suggested that we get more. We want to rescue about another 4 ex batts taking our flock to 6. (You did all promise that this was addictive!) I know that integrating them at this stage may be difficult and I've done my research about that. What I wanted to know was, can anyone recommend a supplier of fox proof walk in runs? That way, i can keep my eglu for purposes of gradual integration, but also have a newly set up walk in run to give my girls as much space as possible. I'd love to try building it myself but really don't think I have the right woodwork skills and don't want to put my girls at risk from Mr Fox!! Thanks so much for your help and suggestions. jayjay
Hi Tom I have recently installed a WIR for my ducks. We bought it following a link from the Omlet site and were very happy with the quality, service and delivery we received. The supplier was CMS animal housing (http://www.cms-animal-housing.co.uk/Products.html) we bought the 9'x6'x6' and they even found us a good delivery deal to the north of scotland. I am sure there are many other options but this was well constucted and very easy to put together. I was also impressed by the quality of the mesh etc. Husband took about 2 hours to put it together. I also thought it was really good value - husband said he couldn't hve made it himself for the price. Hope this helps JJ
Olly
I'd wholeheartedly recommend Aviaries4U. - lots of us on here have got runs from there, and they are fabulous and the customer service is excellent. I have yet to find someone with a negative comment about these runs! I believe CMS are cheaper, but I don't have any experience of their runs.
