Hello, I know this has been asked before but I wend through the posts and couldnt find it.

 

how much would I need to cover the floor of a WIR 9ft by 9ft?

 

(in weight or litres or hoever it comes)

It comes in bales, and one bale will last you ages - it depends how thickly you want to spread it, I tend to use quite a thin layer but some people like their hens to be ankle-deep in it. One bale should easily do a run of that size, you probably won't need all of it - it's compressed and when you open the bale it will 'fluff up' a bit.

I'd say half a bale would be enough to cover an area of that size. I prefer to have mine not too deep and change it more often.

 

They are essentially the same thing, but Hemcore is a little co"Ooops, word censored!"r, and smells of citronella.

Hi, do you know how much in weight a bale is? as the pet shop says 20KG is how they sell it and I want to know how many to order.

Yep. A bale is 20kg.

I use seven bales in my run but that's 5 x 7 mtrs.

 

I suppose one or two bales would be good.
