theherd123
I am looking to invest in a new lawnmover as im fed up of fighting with the old Flymo each year. Ideally I would like a self propelled pertol one but not really sure whats good - any recommendations? The lawn is approx 8m x 20m
helenc
We have a Honda Izy - its not the propelled one but its really good and we have no problems at all with it. I think it was about £300 but that was 6 years ago.
ubereglu
Go for one which isn't too heavy and unwieldy. I'm not the best person to ask really, as we have a really old electric flymo hover mower. It's so old they have the same mower in one of the early carry on tv shows! Seagazer
I think ours is a mountfield self-propelled petrol one (its red anyway). Its really easy to manoevure around my garden, my problem is getting it started with the pull thingy. I have to get YS to do it for me We used to have a flymo and that really made my arms ache as even though our lawn was fairly flat it just wouldn't glide (or fly ). WarrensWorld
Rover 5.5hp self propelled, starts first pull every year. We've had it for ten years, apart from replacing the pull chord, it's perfect.
