Cinnamon
My daughter has a Nokia N95, my old phone, & we have a problem. If she wants to browse on the phone, then she links up with the home wireless system with no problem - & its free too. But, & this problem has been ongoing for ages, each month we get about £8 of web browsing charges,& looking at the itemised bill, the phone seems to be logging on with 3G for a set amount of time,at set times during the day.Its about 42p a time, but it adds up. Now,I have phoned Vodafone, who were about as useful as a chocolate teapot,& they say the phone is doing an automatic update. Fine, but how do we stop it??? There seems to be no way to disable 3G ,& I have Googled it too - any ideas?
Geoid
Look under the settings, Access points, there should be about 4 of them, delete the one that says internet. The only problem is, if you want mobile internet back, you have to phone vodafone up. (wifi should still work fine)
Lewis
I had this with my old phone (a samsung) - I just went into the settings and messed with all the codes and passwords so that it wouldn't connect - simples
