Ok,

so been on here for a while, and just wondered if anyone refers to any particular 'book of ills'?

There are quite alot available, would anyone like to recommend ones they like or find useful?

I'm talking about Vet/pro type books, not how to keep your first hen - if you know what I mean.

You won't go far wrong with the Chicken Health Handbook by Gail Damerow.

i have Practical Poulty's Avoid the Vet which is very good.

Thanks very much both of you. I was looking at a few, and the 'Avoid the Vet' was one of them. I'll also look at the Chicken Health book.

Avoid the vet is very good, it doesnt however read like a book, its more a load of articles from the P P magazine, its a great read I just wanted to point that out though. Out of all my books this is the one I refer to most

Thanks RedWing. I have the 'Keeping Chickens' book from , and know what you mean about a series of former articles.
