LittleOwl
Our 23 week old Columbine, Treacle, has just given us her first egg! We have had her for 12 days and I must admit I was getting a bit impatient When I opened the nest box door when I was putting them to bed last night she was in there, and she has been back in for about an hour this morning (though she did interrupt proceedings when I went out earlier in case I had something nice for her, she has learned fast ). It is fairly small, and is a pretty pale-ish olive green colour It has pride of place in an egg cup (a green one, so as to coordinate nicely )on the table so I can show OH when he is home in a few minutes. Now to wait and see what colour her sister Honey lays....fingers crossed for a blue one so we have a mini rainbow of colours!!

Snoxy
Morning When our Columbine, Mildred first started laying her eggs were olive green & now they are a gorgeous pastel green. I was very happy that she laid a green egg & not brown although i was not expecting olive green! I am amazed how they have changed colour. Our latest two girls, Lulu & Violet will hopefully lay brown eggs. Just love all the different colours
LittleOwl
Well, we have been getting an egg a day from our lovely Treacle since she started last week! And Snoxy, like yours, they have been getting steadily paler in colour, so they are now more of a pretty pastel green thatn an olive green! OH took a couple into work and everyone thought they had been painted! They are thankfully getting bigger too, thank goodness!
