jam
Today I went out for a few hours with my parents. When I came back I discovered that the infra red bulb warming the chicks had blown, the poor things were all snuggled in a tight ball! But they still felt really warm when I put my hand around them. They're ok now, but I was really worried about them
Egluntyne
You should be able to get a replacement today. I'd pop a hot water bottle in with them for the time being.
Redwing
In an emergency a 60w standard light bulb will keep them warm enough
TAJ
After my first bulb going I know always keep a spare - typically they always go when the shops are closed. Tracy
