So it's different then Used to be easily able to do an advanced search on individual forums. Is now the only way to go to a specific forum and then do a search. I'm probably not explaining myself well.

If you click on it, there is an option to choose which forum you want to search in (don't think it's changed from the old format) .

I can't see an advanced search button like in your link Lewis On the top right I've got search where I can type in a word and then there is a search button next to it.

 

Just found out I have to hover my mouse underneath the search button for advanced search to show up!

That's odd. Which "board" are you using? Having you tried CTRL f5 which clears the cache (or something clever like that!)?

I just switched to the high contrast one to have a look - the link is white so you can't see it against the background

Yes, it only shows if you hover the cursor just below the grey Search box
