Unsecure chicken perches

When we had 3 chickens we quite often got a full house of three, but as we have got more and at different ages we haven't had a full house. Yesterday I got 9 eggs from 9 layers (we normally get 6-8 daily) - this is made up of 6 pure breed layers, an old hybrid and two meat birds that we left too long.

Very well done I've never ever had a full house except when we only had 2 or 3 chooks so I can only imagine how good it feels!

We are getting a full house of 7/7 quite often at the moment from 1 pure breed a 3 yr old hybrid and 5 1 year old hybrids. I had 44 eggs in my kitchen on Sunday none of them more than a week old.

 

This is full laying season.

Well done!

I had 4/5 today! The one buff orp isnt the most reliable layer.... If only she'd laid one today I would have had a full house!
