My Summer Star has been laying about an egg a day since I had her. They are usually a decent size but the one she did today was about 95g. Can't say exactly how big (my scales aren't that precise) but definitely nearer 100g than 90g. It doesn't fit in the egg box.

 

It was a lovely surprise but I wonder if chickens can damage themselves by laying really big eggs?

 

It was the biggest egg I've ever seen.

i went to merrydale today and they have one on the counter that was 146g i was amazed by it lol

im getting a couple of big ones aday around the 80g mark and they look huge

We had a whopper this morning - with blood on one end so that one must have hurt! I will be weighing it when I get home

I've been a bit sad and just purchased some more accurate scales so I can give a definite egg weight next time.

 

It was a double yolker and Amber laid a double yolker too. None then two turn up together.

I got a 105g egg from my white Star today! she is the smallest hen of the lot and lays just about every day without fail, bigger eggs than any of the others!
