Old Speckled Hen
Can any body help? I have found the Vorwerks I wanted and could collect them at eight weeks of age. Would they be OK to live outside in their own house and run at that age. I plan to introduce them to my four hens when they are 18 to 20 weeks. Thanks a lot
Lewis
Ooh At 8 weeks they should be fine outside - could ask the breeder what they're in now
Redwing
They will be just fine at 8 weeks, if it gets very windy or rainy some shelter above and on one side would be appreciated
annettec
I am no expert but we have just bought home 3 x 10 week old hens and are all ok outside living next to our three Hybrid girls, hoping to introduce at about 18 weeks ? In fact have been as good as gold put themselves to bed at night all by themselves and are hopping around all over the place loving their dust bath too Enjoy

squidsin
Oooh interesting. I may be picking up some growers soon (orp bantams, 8ish weeks). I wasn't worried about them being outdoors, but I was planning on splitting the Eglu run and introducing them to my pekins that way. Are they too young for this kind on introduction? I'll keep them separate until it looks like they'll get on.
