Jules. Posted May 7, 2010 Share Posted May 7, 2010 I went vote counting last night It was good fun even though we got a bit hysterical with laughter at times at the late hour..... It went on from 10pm-5am. I got to bed at 5.40 & had 1 1/2 hours sleep before getting up for my full-time day job today. I'm in my jammies ready for bed now. He said it was fun, but he was quite shocked at some of the rude words written on ballot papers! And the rest! My OH did the count and saw all sorts on the ballot papers. One was all coloured in with funky patterns and everything, many negative comments about the BNP candidates and MPs in general and even some rude body parts drawn on them too! The odd thing is is that these people have made an effort to go to the polling station only to pack a packet of pencil crayons and do art work - couldn't they do that at home?! I slept all yesterday afternoon & didnt get up till nearly 2 today I didnt see many rude words but a few blank papers. The party workers who were watching us count were really friendly & chatty especially considering most of them had been at the polling stations since 7.
