RRRisnewtochickens Posted May 11, 2010 Share Posted May 11, 2010 Hi all This little (hopefully) lady was meant to be a blue pekin bantam but even with my minimal knowledge of breeds I dont think it is. Its slightly bigger than the other pekins and has bald legs. Its also a little more skittish than the peks. What do you guys reckon? And to compare it to one of the pekins. jam Posted May 12, 2010 Share Posted May 12, 2010 Did you buy your eggs from a breeder? if so then maybe it could have something else in its blood that you dont know about other than pekin, or if its a cross, one of the breeds could have been dominant. My resent hatch included some black pekin frizzle crosses, but one of the chicks turned out pure frizzle with not a bit of pekin in sight!
